  “BUYER BEWARE!
  I am the creator of Southdaytonatractor.info. My name is Richard and recently I was a customer of South Daytona Tractor who was scammed out of $58.34 I was charged for a service that was covered under Warranty. So I have created a customer awareness site to let the public know not to do business with South Daytona Tractor. This is how the scam works: You call South Daytona Tractor and Mower and ask them if they repair John Deere products and Equipment. They say yes bring the product in. So you go there and give the information that shows your product in this case a John Deere JS30 self propel lawn mower to be under warranty and the parts in this case were looked up and completely covered under the warranty. So they take your lawn mower and tell you it will be a week or so. Being a customer we accept and wait for the call. Almost 2 weeks later in this case I get a call that my lawn mower is ready. So I go to pick up my mower. This is what they do they tell you the lawn mower is fine and the job is complete but we had a few things we did. Remember I received no calls or anything I was just told to pick up my lawn Mower. They then told me they took it upon them self to replace my lawn mower blade? And there also was a part that needed to be replaced that I never seen Before. They said the blade is $17.59 and the broken part was 3.69 some kind of wheel shield, labor was $31.00 a total of $58.34.What the hell are you talking about .I never asked for a new blade, I did not know what this shield was for? And what Labor? My mower came in for a repair that is under 100% Warranty. Then I am told my Mower will not leave unless I pay? I can't believe this. South Daytona Tractor takes it upon them selves to do all these extras with no explanation or attempt to even contact me and then they put me in a threatening situation and tell me my lawn mower isn't going to leave? Hey I was scared . So I paid and I felt like I just Got Robbed. I contacted John Deere to let them know what just happened. I spoke to there representative about what had transpired. They put me on hold and told me they would get back to me in a couple of days. Couple days later a customer representative called me and put me on hold while they contacted South Daytona Tractor. South Daytona Tractor Said to the representative that they have a sign posted on there counter that says they have the right to charge any customer up to $75.00 for extras at their discretion without contacting the customer or obtaining any kind of permission. What? (So that would be equivalent to someone taking your car into a shop for a tune up and when you return the shop gave you a tune up and a new set of tires. And now you cant leave with your car unless you pay.) That is the most ridiculous thing I ever heard . South Daytona committed robbery without a gun. And the John Deere representative tells me they can't do anything about it that South Daytona Tractor business is privately owned. So I was forced to pay $58.34 and South Daytona Has A business license to conduct dishonest business practices. And I as the customer is scammed. And as It seams to be John Deere representative is backing them on these practices. So that is why I created this site to make the public aware of these dishonest practices that are taking place in SOUTH DAYTONA TRACTOR & MOWER Located in South Daytona Florida BUYER BEWARE If you have or know some one who has experienced unnecessary charges or felt you have been treated in a dishonest way at South Daytona Tractor Please tell us about your experience by leaving a comment.
